jeff smith studies the evolution of cooperation in microbes using both laboratory experiments and mathematical theory. He is currently a postdoc with Joan Strassmann & David Queller at Washington University in St Louis. He started out as a physics undergrad at Rice University and did his Ph.D. at Emory University with Bruce Levin.
